Visiting a Skit Guys meeting

When visiting a Skit Guys meeting, be prepared for Tommy to immediately shut his brand new MacBook Air. Why? Because he probably thinks we are going to try to steal their good ideas for a video… which ironically, was the real reason we made the visit. We walked away with no ideas, but with several Chick Fil A sandwich cards they had spewed over the table. Did you know the Skit Guys have like a team of 10 or more? I know! I can’t believe it takes that many people to make there videos either! Anyway, here are a couple pictures from the visit.

What Igniter has learned after 100 mini-movies

Chachi and I got mentioned several times in the Igniter list of things they have learned after completing 100 mini movies.

I believe 9 Igniter Media mini movies are ‘Johnny and Chachi’ ones so I think that means around 45% are ours. (I hate math).

Here we are on the set of our new video, ‘Johnny and Chachi’s Church Invite’.

We live in a world where people need to invite people to their church… and they don’t! Why? Maybe because they don’t like their church. Maybe because they’re scared of rejection, or laughter.

Whatever the reason, we are here to give you the encouragement you need to go for it.

Our new Father’s Day video

We have a new video for our duo!!! It’s called Johnny & Chachi’s Tribute For Dad.

The big question is, why did we create two versions of this video. It’s simple. We didn’t.

Basically, we set out to create one Johnny & Chachi video about the ‘behind the scenes’ of a Johnny & Chachi video. This was going to be the main (only) video. When we were done with the edit, the video ended up being about 4 minutes. We felt like it was a fast moving video, but also felt like some churches may not want to spend 4 minutes on a Sunday morning showing a special Father’s Day video. Actually, we hope you do because we prefer the longer version. That said, we think the shorter version will be more usable for certain churches.

The good news is, you get both versions when you purchase the download, so you don’t even have to decide today.

That said, here’s a quick tip guide for which is right for you:

• Our church loves Johnny & Chachi… We play all of their stuff
USE THE EXTENDED VERSION

• Our church just wants to mention Father’s Day but not give it a lot of time
USE THE SHORT VERSION

• Our church is always looking for things to lengthen the service
USE THE EXTENDED VERSION (twice)

• Our church only uses Skit Guys material

You may or may not know this, but the Skit Guys love us. So much so that they decided they would put some of our videos on their site. I guess they saw our Facebook fan numbers and thought, ‘We HAVE to have these guys’. Now don’t go look at our FB numbers… and don’t go COMPARING their fan numbers with ours. That wouldn’t be prudent.

Okay, truth is, Skit Guys are about 1,600x bigger than us and we begged them to have our videos. There! Are you happy?
